Since I (and my former colleague Pia O. Björklund) founded the studio I have worked on a freelance- and consultant basis for comapanier like Ikea, Masurell in Belgium and Borås Tapeter (wall paper), Hemtex, Rusta, Jotex.
I have also co-worked with Orrefors (glass vases), Sagaform (product line), Rörststand (porcelain).
Since start we have exhibited at international fairs as Heimtex and Paperworld in Frankfurt, Indigo in Brussels, Design Bloc in New York and Evolution in Amsterdam.
Besides Designstudio Björkforth I have developed anown design collectionfor the home. http://www.rotordesign.se. All products designed by me and produced locally in Sweden.
About Magnus Forthmeiier
I graduated from University of Textile in Borås 1987 and have ever since worked in fashion business and the textile world. As designer for Craft of Sweden (sportswear), Rasken (knitwear), MQ (retail), Norham (outer wear).
My personal driving force as designer is to combine the creative with the commercial. To know the market well, but also forsee upcoming trends and technical development.
